Trader is TidalHealth Peninsula Regional’s June 2025 Sunshine Awardee

TidalHealth Peninsula Regional is pleased to announce that Ciera Trader, PCT, of the Rebecca and Leighton Moore Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit on 3 South, has been selected as its Sunshine Award recipient for June 2025.

Trader was recognized by her manager and a recent patient for going above and beyond:

“I recently met with one of our patients on the Child and Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. As the Unit Manager, I had no idea what to expect as normally the children enjoy speaking with the CNAs and nurses.

I developed a strong rapport with this patient, who told me that she wanted to nominate Ciera for an award. When I asked her why, she responded, ‘She is nice, kind, and provides us with what we need. We ask her for stuff every two minutes and she doesn't mind doing it.’ I laughed and asked, ‘Do you keep her running all day?’ She replied, ‘We do, but she never gets upset. She always understands us, and I feel like we can talk to her about our problems.’

Working on a Behavioral Health Unit can be very challenging, both physically and mentally. Ciera comes to work every day with a positive attitude and a mindset to make a positive difference in the life of each child that she encounters.”

Trader was honored in a ceremony before her coworkers and presented with fresh flowers, a pin and a certificate recognizing her exceptional devotion to team and patient care.
