Dr. Jack Snitzer appointed Executive Medical Director for Specialty Medicine at TidalHealth



SALISBURY- TidalHealth today announces Jack Snitzer, DO, has been named the Executive Medical Director for Specialty Medicine.

With over three decades of provider experience, Dr. Snitzer brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to this role, reinforcing TidalHealth's commitment to providing exceptional care.

As the Executive Medical Director, he will oversee and guide the strategic direction of TidalHealth's specialty medicine, including the long-standing services of endocrinology, neurology, gastroenterology, pulmonary, nephrology and infectious diseases. New services coming under his leadership include rheumatology and palliative care, and a service line in geriatrics that is currently under development.

“Dr. Snitzer’s leadership will remain pivotal in shaping the future of specialty medicine at TidalHealth, particularly as the organization continues to expand its delivery of comprehensive care throughout the Delmarva Peninsula,” said Cindy Lunsford, Executive Vice President of TidalHealth and President of TidalHealth’s Primary and Specialty Care Medicine.

Dr. Snitzer, an endocrinologist, received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, along with a Bachelor of Science degree from Allegheny College, and is currently pursuing a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree from Des Moines University.

Dr. Snitzer, a native of Buffalo, N.Y., joined TidalHealth in 1993 and has led the Endocrinology team since 2012.
