Four Questions: A Youth Forum with Kondwani Fidel
Join spoken word artist, poet, and acclaimed author of “Hummingbirds in the Trenches” Kondwani Fidel as he shares his story of growing up in inner city Baltimore with two parents addicted to drugs, and how reading, writing, and performing saved him. Kondwani not only performs along with other young people from Dorchester County, but also leads conversation around four questions youth need to talk about: Why take drugs? How do drugs make you feel? What can go wrong? What do we need? Free and open to the public, the event is presented in partnership with the Dorchester County Youth Action Council and with the participation of Maryland Coalition of Family’s Taking Flight Youth Program.
