Welcome to Medicare Class

Insurance can be confusing, and Medicare is no exception! MAC’s Welcome to Medicare class can provide the information you need. The free class is packed with information designed to help the public have a better understanding of the parts of Medicare and how they work, including timelines, costs, coverage, fraud, Advantage plans, supplemental plans, and what your rights are as a Medicare recipient and more. Welcome to Medicare is for individuals who are still working, are retired or who are on disability - for anyone who is getting ready to start Medicare. The next class will be held on Monday, Sept. 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Cambridge Free Standing Medical Pavilion, second floor conference room. Classes are presented by MAC’s State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) in partnership with Avery Hall Insurance and UM Shore Regional Health’s Dorchester Shore Community Outreach team. Class size is limited, and advance registration is required. No walk-ins please. Class schedule is subject to change. To register, call 443-225-7545.
