QuickBooks is an industry standard accounting package for small businesses. It comes in two key versions QuickBooks Desktop (QB Desktop) and QuickBooks Online (QB Online). While both are QuickBooks - there are many differences between the two products. Until recently QB Online did not stack up well against its older sibling QB Desktop and users were reluctant to make the conversion. However, improvements in the product and some of the inherent benefits of being a cloud-based solution now make QB Online a viable solution for many small businesses, even those that have been running QB Desktop for some time.
