Veterans Clinic and Picnic

The Elks Lodge 1272, 5464 Elks Lodge Road in Cambridge, will host a Veterans health care enrollment and disability claims clinic Nov. 12 from noon to 5 p.m. Veterans and their immediate family members are invited to the event.
Representatives from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) will be available to assist in filing for health care and disability benefits.
During the event, representatives from VBA can assist Veterans in filing for new disability benefits or review current claims. A representative from the VA Maryland Health Care System will assist in applying for VA health care.
During the event, the Elks will provide refreshments, door prizes and children’s games and activities. There will also be an opportunity to sign George Jackson’s Scrolls for Troops.
Appointments with VA claim specialists are limited. To register please call the Elks at 410-221-6044. Veterans filing for benefits must bring their military discharge paperwork (DD-214), pertinent medical and personnel records (if available) and a photo ID.
