WW2 Living history with memorial ceremony
Learn more about the famed Tuskegee Airmen and World War II during a special weekend April 9-10, 2022 at Governor's Hall at Sailwinds Park.
Join us for a WW2 Living history weekend complete with reenactors who will be recreating Army life during WW2. We will also be honoring the life of Brigadier General McGee of the famed Tuskegee Airmen, or Red Tails. During the weekend will be a ceremony honoring the Dootlittle raid of April 18, 1942 in which 80 men flew a fateful one way mission to bomb the Japanese mainland which took place 80 years ago. Saturday evening hopes to have a USO type show, with music from the 1940s.
