The Reading Social is a monthly event that encourages reading for youth - birth-12. They focus on improving literacy and building home libraries for children. The program is 2 hours, and during that time, children receive a healthy snack, reading support, and an art activity. Children have the option of reading or being read to. They encourage young readers to tell stories based on the pictures in the book. Each child gets to choose a book of their choice to take home to begin building their home library.
Our Reading Socials are in Cambridge on 1st Saturdays and Hurlock on 2nd Saturdays. Those dates can vary based on holidays.
