CWC is very excited to present “Learning about schools: A Lucky life” by Stephen Heyneman at 1pm on Friday April 7, 2023.
Mr Heyneman is the editor in chief at the International Journal of Education Development at Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tennessee.
Stephen received his PhD in Comparative education from the university of Chicago in 1976. Between 76 and 1984 he helped research educational quality and design policies in support of educational effectiveness. Among his many appointments he was responsible for education policy and strategy first for the Middle East and North Africa and after for the 27 countries of Europe and Asia. In 2000 Stephen was appointed professor of International Education policy at Vanderbilt and in 2015 he became professor emeritus.
Mr Heyneman will speak to the of effect of education on social cohesion, education and religion and the economic and social cost of education corruption and trade issues associated with education commerce.
