Intro to Throwing on the Wheel at DCA

Learn the basics of pottery, experience the feel of the clay moving through your fingers, learn new techniques, have fun and make friends. Basic techniques for centering the clay and throwing cylinders and cups will be demonstrated and practiced in this 6-week ceramic class.
Class fee includes one 25 lb. bag of clay and use of specialty tools needed during class. Please dress casually, it’s a dirty business, and bring an apron and towel. Clay tools are available or bring your own tools. Bisque firing is included.
This class is a carefully scheduled, short, skill-based, intensive learning course, please consider taking it another time if you will not be available for all 6 classes. Missed classes cannot be made up.
This class will be followed with a Glazing & Firing Class in March.
Cost: $165.00 members – $195.00 Non-members
