The Talbot Goes Purple year five kick-off Overdose Awareness Day will be happening at Idlewild Park with Live Music with Alive @5, Free Pit Beef or Hot Dog, Chips & Drink, Face Painting, Balloon Animals, Resources + Information, Luminary Memorial for Overdose Awareness Day, Walk of Solidarity.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently announced that an estimated 92,000+ Americans died of overdoses in the 12 months ending last November. 
It's the highest number ever recorded and a 30 percent jump over the prior year.
We could all use a little hope right about now, don't you think?
