Evolution of Sound

Presented by the Nanticoke Historic Preservation Alliance (NHPA), this special Black History Month event focuses on the development of African-American music and explores connections to Native and Colonial American cultures. Linda Harris and The Main Street Blues Band will headline the show, which will also feature Shane Rader (Native flute), Gilbert Cephas (spirituals), Bill Caudle (African drumming), Curtis White (Chamber songs), and Jayla Elise (performing "Dorchester Dreams"). A wine bar will be sponsored by Groove City Black Heritage and Cultural Center.
