DGP will be installing a flag display at the Corner of Race St and Cedar St in Cambridge, MD. There will be 519 flags representing the number of overdoes in Dorchester County since the Going Purple movement was stated. 85 of those flags will be white representing those overdoses that resulted in a fatality.
This event will be a kick-off for September Purple Activities with remarks from Sheriff James Phillips, County Councilman Mike Detmer, and messages from the community. There will be vendor tables set up to provide information on sources of support found through out the County. Kona Ice will be on sight as well.
