Distinguished Speaker Series with Guest Speaker:
Donald Neiffer, V.M.D., Chief Veterinarian, Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute
Dr. Donald Neiffer is the Chief Veterinarian and the Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute, where he oversees the health and welfare of the zoo's diverse animal population. With over 30 years of experience in zoological medicine, Dr. Neiffler has played a pivotal role in advancing veterinary care and conservation efforts for animals. Dr. Neiffer earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from Millersville University and his doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania.
