Renowned Eastern Shore artist, Michael Rosato, will speak about his mural art at Cambridge Woman’s Club’s Sycamore Cottage on Friday March 4, 2022 at 1PM.
Rosato is well known for his murals in Dorchester County and throughout Maryland and the mid Atlantic region. His most notable mural is the powerful “Take my Hand” mural in Cambridge which depicts Harriet Tubman and received worldwide attention. His latest mural of Frederick Douglas can be viewed in Easton and other examples of his work can be viewed throughout Dorchester County and are included in the Chesapeake County Mural Trail.
Currently Rosato is working on a new project for the National Museum of the Marine Corps featuring the history of the corps from 1976 to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan scheduled to open in 2025.
