Blue Christmas

The Christmas season is hard for those whose hearts are hurting. The designation acknowledges the "Blue" feelings many people experience during the Advent and Christmas seasons.
For those who have lost a loved one, this is a time of acute loneliness. For those who have lost a relationship or a job, experienced failing health or financial setbacks, this is a time of pain, confusion and anxiety. We can still worship with honesty in the confidence that God shares our pain, understands our loss and seeks to be present in comforting and hopeful ways.
Blue Christmas is a gentle, contemplative service that offers comfort and hope for those carrying pain or loss during this season of celebration.
