Author Katie Barney speaks at CWC

This month CWC celebrates springs arrival with Katie Barney, cookbook author and food entrepreneur. Ms. Barney will discuss her authentic recipes as well as table etiquette garnered during her 9 years research of international cuisine from ambassadors and chefs around the world. Her 635 page cookbook, "The Enchanted World of Food" is the culmination of that research. A prolific writer and publisher, Ms. Barney has published 6 cookbooks and several guidebooks and received the Marquis lifetime achievement award in 2020. She is known for her unique narrative style and for placing recipes in a larger regional and historical context. Ms. Barnes was born in Maryland and has lived in many beautiful harbor towns along the Eastern seaboard and written guidebooks describing the Eastern shore, the Western shore and Annapolis to name a few. She descends from a long linage dating to the Mayflower.
In all, Ms. Barney is something of a renaissance woman and we hope to have a great showing to her her speak. Friday April 1, 2022 at 1pm at Sycamore cottage 417 High St, Cambridge. Come at 12:30 for refreshments and bring a friend! CWC is a member of Dorchester Chamber of Commerce and welcomes all.
