Alzheimer's & Dementia Caregivers Conference

"Compassionate Care During Challenging Times"
This virtual conference is designed to empower caregivers and health care professionals with strategies, inspiration and resources that will bolster our efforts to care for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia during these truly challenging times.  The keynote speaker, Dr. Steven Sabat, will explore improving communication between caregivers and those with dementia by understanding and recognizing the personhood of the individual diagnosed and supporting his or her value as a human being. Building on this understanding, other session speakers will discuss compassionate ways of managing behavioral and physiological symptoms of dementia and the resources available to assist both family and professional caregivers.
